Recreations

Fun-filled activities and supportive services

Recreational activities allow our clients to unwind, have fun, and express themselves through various forms of art. They can use this to discover potentials and skills that will help them build a career or socialize with others.

Expression of Art

Art therapy is a modality that incorporates creative methods to help clients use artistic media to cope with issues and improve life skills. Art therapy sessions are usually facilitated by the art therapist based on client’s assessments, evaluations and interests using expressive media, activities and materials. FCCS has provided virtual art therapy services since 2021.

We provide art materials for the art therapy sessions. Our clients are able to explore different art media and materials with different directives guided by our art therapist. Through art therapy, our clients are able to express their feelings and emotions beyond words. We provide services to children and adults. We are also able to provide aids in person to support clients with special needs.

Expression of Music

Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions by a music therapist to achieve individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. Music therapy interventions can help with a variety of healthcare and educational goals, including alleviating pain, expressing feelings, improving memory, improving communication, improving quality of life, and so on. Through telehealth, we assess the client’s needs and preferences. Clients could choose individual sessions or group sessions based on their needs.

FCCS’s virtual program engages clients in playing musical instruments, singing, or improvisation in the sessions. Therapists enable clients to express themselves in a variety of forms. During the session, music can also be broken down into small parts, such as a repetitive chorus or a rhythm pattern, to meet the client’s needs.

Youths in Motion
